Automated Blinds

Alongside another undergraduate student, I created a functional prototype of an automated blinds system. This control system adjusts the blinds by opening them during the day and closing them at night, effectively balancing energy efficiency and privacy.

As seen from the video and both figures above, the blinds were able to reach their desired angle with reasonable error and decent stability. Using this prototype, auto-adjusting blinds could be produced on a large scale at a very low cost.
